bio
Growing up as an Air Force brat, Kristi Bothur claims anyplace where she lives more than six months as "home." Kristi spent her twenties traveling the globe as she taught English as a Second Language to elementary boys at a Muslim school in Virginia, and to English teachers and high school students in different cities in China, finally settling down in South Carolina where she met the love of her life, her husband Eric. The first decade of their marriage was filled with the joys of ministry, the conflict of "unexplained infertility", the thrill of becoming parents, the agony of losing three children in pregnancy, and the roller coaster ride of the journey of Pregnancy After Loss. A former ESOL teacher, Kristi is now a pastor's wife, a stay-at-home mom to her two living children, and the founder of Naomi's Circle, a ministry to parents who have experienced the loss of a baby during pregnancy or early infancy. She is the author of One in Heaven, a children's book about pregnancy loss, and a contributing editor to Rainbows and Redemption: Encouragement for the Journey of Pregnancy After Loss.
A graduate of Columbia International University, Kristi is married to Dr. Eric Bothur, pastor of South Beltline Baptist Church and information technology professor at Midlands Technical College. The Bothurs make their home in South Carolina with their two living children, five-year-old Lydia and one-year-old Caleb, and their fifteen-year-old Black Labrador, Beasley.
